English Breakfast

I'm told that I eat my eggs English style, piling everything on my toast. Well, I have to say, it a good way to eat eggs!

Here are few things from the past weeks. There is more on the way.

New Commission:5x7, This will be going on the web site soon. I'm partial to Earl Grey myself, but this commission requested English Breakfast.

Sketches:

Mall night at OAFF! (That's, Operation Art Friends Forever, for those that are unaware) Every week I meet with a small group of friends for a sketch night, lovingly referred to as OAFF.

The Boxer

It's been a while since I did much digital painting. Every time I try it out it seems to frustrate me how many sliders and menu option I have to switch before I make each stroke. Well I stumbled upon a really awesome blog the other day by an illustrator named Sarah Mensinga. She has some great characters and some are very nicely digitally painted too. This inspired me to give it another shot. So I scanned in a recent sketch and went to town...For some reason unbeknownst to me, I started this at about 1am and I must have been having fun because I kept going till 4. I do rather like working this way digitally, maybe I'll do some more, though I'm pretty sure I'll always be an analog guy when it comes to paint. You just can't beat a real brush. ...but you do have to wait for the paint to dry. hm.
