Little Miss Gloweyes

Gloweyes is finished! Despite some annoying shine on the brush strokes in this scan, I like her. She's one of a few longer studies that I've been working on to reacquaint myself with bristle brushes and layered umber grounds. A little more traditional.

10x14 oil, and below is the original sketch that I decided to work from.

9x12 oil, This is another study of the same manner as Gloweyes, this was done from a sketch in my May 27th post. You'll probably be able to tell which one.

5x7 oil, Another tea bag! I liked painting that last one as a commission, so I did another. No flavor specified this time. At least, I don't think Twinings makes a flavor with a bright yellow tag, but I could be wrong.
